Dia dhuit (Gaelic greeting "God be on you") Last summer we went on a Rick Steves tour of magical Ireland. Pictures and words cannot capture the awesome natural beauty of this mystical isle, the charm and complexity of the people, the inspiration of the ancient history and culture, the joy and sadness of the music, the quality of the beer and spirits, the variety and tastiness of the food, and the excellence of the art and poetry. We hope that our scrapbook will inspire you to make your own journey to this fascinating land if you have not been and, if you have, we hope our pictures bring many pleasant memories. We are already making plans to return.
A superb guide, a congenial group of fellow travelers, and a skilled and cheerful coach pilot made the trip a most unforgettable and enjoyable experience. So get a rain coat and join us for a thrilling, delightful, and educational adventure. Remember, "It never rains in Ireland " (at least not in your heart and mind).
The variety of experiences on this trip was remarkable. We experienced castles, hurling, gorgeous scenery, bustling cities, charming villages, interesting people, emerald forests, peat bogs, seashores, churches, museums, pubs, forts, boats, horse carts, and much more. The trip was loads of fun and we also gained a better understanding and appreciation of our world and the people in it.
