| The first afternoon we were in Rome we toured Ancient Rome with a terrific local guide, Francesca. She took us through the Colosseum, Forum, Via Sacra, and up to Capitoline Hill. Then Ferdi took us to the Trattoria de Pallaro for a family style group dinner. On the way we saw the refurbished Pantheon. It was breathtaking. |
| Our second day, we went to the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Michelangelo's Pieta and the Sistine Chapel made the trip worthwhile if we had seen nothing else. |
| Gelateria Giolitti was our choice as the top gelato shop on the trip. However, this is a highly personal decision and we encourage thorough investigation before you make your choice. |
